On back of demand, Immotion launches commercial UV cleaning solution – Uvisan
Immotion Group, the UK-based immersive entertainment group is pleased to announce, following its trading update of last week, the launch of a range of proprietary UV anti-bacterial cleaning cabinets, under the Uvisan brand.
As per the statement last week, as a direct response to the COVID-19 crisis the Company has designed and had exclusively manufactured a range of proprietary UV disinfectant cabinets. The new product was originally designed for the sole purpose of cleansing VR headsets for its larger partner locations, predominantly Shark Reef at Mandalay Bay, Las Vegas. The Company realised that the cleansing of VR headsets was going to be important to maximise both operational throughput as well as keep customers safe. Following the announcement last week, the Company has received numerous external commercial enquiries. As a direct result it has decided to sell the cabinets to third party companies under the Uvisan name.
Following exceptional demand, the Company in the last week sold 10 cabinets, including four cabinets to Chichester University, who have purchased the cabinets to protect sensitive equipment against COVID-19 infection.
The University approached Uvisan as they quickly realised multimedia equipment such as microphones, laptops and speakers cannot be treated with traditional solution-based alcohol cleaning materials, and as such they needed a proven solution for this problem. The Uvisan cabinets provide a clinically proven alternative to protect students, staff and business partners.
Chichester is the first University to be supplied by Uvisan, although we are starting to see enquiries from other academic faculties.
The cabinets are available in a variety of sizes with the largest able to accommodate, cleanse and charge up to 30 laptops in a matter of minutes. The Uvisan cabinets range in price from £2,399 to £3,199.
The Uvisan cabinet will provide Chichester University with medical-grade light spectrum cabinets that have been proven to kill 99.9% of all pathogens including virus and bacteria, removing the need for alcohol and solution based products that could harm sensitive technology.
The Company has tested the cabinets on a variety of equipment, including Motion capture suit components, Microphones, Keyboards, Cameras, PC peripherals, Headphones and VR headsets to name but a few items. Due to demand a UV clothing cabinet has now been designed with a view to supplying sectors where the cleansing of uniforms, and staff clothing is essential.
The Uvisan process works by harnessing ultraviolet germicidal irradiation (UVGI), which is a disinfection method that uses short-wavelength ultraviolet (ultraviolet C or UVC) light to kill or inactivate micro-organisms by destroying nucleic acids and disrupting their DNA, leaving them unable to perform vital cellular functions. UVGI is used in a variety of applications, such as food, air, and water purification.
A cleaning cycle using UVGI takes between 3 to 10 minutes (dependent on the number of devices and object surface complexity) and can sanitise up to 100 phones, 50 tablets or 30 VR headsets in a single cycle.
Arek Antoniak, Operations Director – Immotion said: "When the pandemic hit we knew we had to find a solution for our larger VR Partners, our team set about designing a cabinet from scratch and within weeks had created and built the Uvisan range. All the cabinets have undergone extensive clinical testing and are proven to kill 99.9% of bacteria and viruses in a matter of minutes."
"The Uvisan solution is ideal for Universities, Schools, TV Studios and effectively any organisation where the use of a solution based cleansing method is not acceptable. We know many organisations need a guarantee that the equipment their staff and customers are using is safe – Uvisan can provide this level of comfort."
Rod Matthews from Chichester University said: "At the University of Chichester we take pride in ensuring our students have the safest as well as the best experience across everything we do. Our students can expect to have hands-on experience of high-tech equipment across our entire curriculum, and especially in our innovative eSports, eGames Design, Animation and Film Production facilities. In our state of the art Tech-Park, students get to use high-end industry filming equipment such as motion capture, as well our extensive bespoke computer labs to create and edit films, audio, animation to industry production standards."
"We needed a solution that was easy to use and would eradicate bacteria without damaging the sensitive equipment used by our colleagues and students. The Uvisan cabinet was the perfect proven solution allowing us to clean all our equipment in a simple and quick cleaning cycle."

Verditek PLC
("Verditek" or the "Company")
Major order for its Industrial "Power in a Box" Solution
Contract signed for six units totalling 1.5 MW of capacity
Verditek plc, (AIM:VDTK) the clean technology company, is delighted to announce, following its earlier successful completion of the first project in Pakistan, that it has received a further substantially larger follow-on order, for six containerised ultra-lightweight solar Power Matts , valued at US$2.2m. The order from SAF Group ('SAF") (www.safpakistan.com) marks a significant milestone for Verditek, as it represents major confirmation of the Company's leading position in the large-scale, portable, rapidly deployable, ultra-lightweight solar market from a respected International group. SAF is a specialist International Engineering, Construction, Fabrication, Project Management company operating in the field of Oil & Gas, Oil Refining, Power Generation and Chemical Process Industries.
These panels will be supplied as an easily deployable containerised solution to provide temporary and semi-permanent power, further reducing the reliance on diesel fuel for their operations.
Importantly, SAF is also collaborating with the Regional Government of Sindh, Pakistan, to supply renewable clean energy to the province, and at least one of these containerised units is planned to be deployed for this purpose. This in turn could provide the opening for a whole new market for the Company, moving beyond the initial entry point in the oil and gas industry.
Ali Salman, MD of SAF Group, commented: "At SAF Group, we strive to be at the forefront of green technology in Pakistan. The use of the Verditek "power in a box" solution to replace diesel generators will contribute to our goal on both our own sites and as part of our collaboration with the Sindh Government, enables us to deploy this solution to bring clean energy to the people of Pakistan at a cost significantly lower than utilising traditional diesel".
Robert Richards, CEO of Verditek, commented: " Verditek is proud and excited to have been chosen to supply its innovative, rapidly deployable power solution, which will provide 250kW of power from each container. This will be our first collaboration with the Government of Pakistan and demonstrates the trust they have in our technology to deliver green energy to a remote region of Pakistan. This order moves us significantly towards my stated goal of achieving free cash flow within 2020."
Lord David Willetts. Chairman commented, "This new contract is very important not only because it represents a much larger follow on order from an existing customer, but because it takes the Company into a new arena, in working on clean energy supply at sovereign country level. This underlines the enormous global opportunity facing Verditek.

Global Strategic Licensing and Distribution Agreement signed with English Heritage
The British Honey Company plc, the producer of premium British Honey-infused spirits and alcohol sanitiser products, is pleased to announce that it has signed a strategically important four-year Global Licensing and Distribution Agreement with English Heritage. English Heritage is a registered conservation charity which cares for over 400 historic monuments, buildings and places – from world famous prehistoric sites to grand medieval castles, from Roman forts on the edge of an empire to a Cold War bunker – through which, it brings the story of England to life for over 10 million visitors each year.
Under the terms of the Agreement, BHC will sell English Heritage branded and trademarked spirits, including gin, vodka, whisky and rum and low alcohol RTDs (Ready-to-Drink products) globally, utilising its established marketing and distribution online and direct sales channels, including into the United States which BHC sees as a key target market and where it has an existing collaboration with List Distillery of Florida, in which BHC has a 10% Shareholding and an agreement to purchase the remaining shareholding. This will facilitate direct access to List's extensive US distribution network.
BHC and English Heritage have an established trading relationship dating back to 2016 whereby English Heritage stocked BHC's Honey & Spirits. Subsequently, in 2020, BHC helped to develop and supply English Heritage with its "own label" St Clement's Gin and Elderflower & Rose Gin. BHC also supplies English Heritage with its own Keepr's honey and spirits range, sold through its onsite shops and online.
Commenting on the Licensing Agreement, BHC Commercial Director, Oliver Williams said:
"I am delighted to further develop our relationship with such a well-known and highly respected Partner. The English Heritage brand lends itself perfectly to our international marketing and distribution channels, further extending our global reach and we envisage significant opportunities to develop the brand over the next four years and beyond."
Kingston Myles, Head of Commercial Development at English Heritage added:
"This new license agreement will grow on an already well-established relationship with the
British Honey Company. We will see English Heritage reach global markets with a unique range
of premium products. We are excited to see this licensee join our portfolio and look forward to
seeing what the future holds."
Thomas List, CEO of List Distillery, Fort Myers USA added:
"We are excited to be part of the BHC's English Heritage branded craft spirits distribution channel in America. By combining high quality spirits with the history and culture of English HerItage, we can see great potential for these products in the US. I am convinced that this will be another successful example of BHC and List Distillery working closely together to create enhanced customer value."

The contract signed between the consortium and MHCLG is for a 12-month period. FutureGov's share of this contract further underpins the Group's confidence in achieving its expectations for the current year.
The creation and delivery of the Towns Fund is a key part of the Government's 'levelling up' program, designed to support the regeneration of communities that have not benefited equally from UK growth. For FutureGov, supporting the Towns Fund means delivering on the company's mission to help organisations and communities build places fit for the internet, whilst contributing to the reduction of carbon emissions. This is in line with The Panoply Vision to deliver genuine change within our world to maximise the opportunities of the 21st century.
Neal Gandhi, CEO of The Panoply commented:
"FutureGov's inclusion in the Towns Fund programme demonstrates the reputation that the company has for delivering strategically important initiatives that go to the heart of the Government's policy agenda. We are seeing growing signs across the Group of the market rapidly moving towards the recovery phase and this contract is an example of the return to a more "business as usual" state of affairs."
Dominic Campbell, CEO of FutureGov commented:
"Joining this consortium to support over 100 towns across England is testament of our commitment to supporting public sector organisations and the communities they serve. Working with these towns we have an opportunity to focus on collaboration and working together in uncertainty, harnessing the passion of the public to shape the future of their places."
