fastjet Fleet Expansion

 

fastjet takes delivery of first owned aircraft

 

fastjet (AIM:FJET), Africa's low-cost airline, took delivery of its first owned aircraft on 25 September 2015.  The intent to purchase this aircraft, the sixth aircraft in the fastjet fleet, was announced on 26 August 2015 and the agreement was signed on 23 September 2015.  The aircraft, an Airbus A319 (Manufacturer's Serial number 2891), was purchased from an entity managed by BBAM US LP (BBAM), a leader in commercial aircraft leasing, financing and management, headquartered in San Francisco, CA.  The market value of the aircraft is approximately USD15.5m Note 1. The aircraft was purchased at a discount to the market value with the consideration being satisfied in cash.

 

Ed Winter fastjet CEO commented, "this is an exciting moment for fastjet with this aircraft not only being the first that we have purchased but also that it marks a doubling in the size of our fleet over the past few months. I am particularly pleased that we have purchased this aircraft from BBAM who showed confidence in the Company by leasing the first aircraft to fastjet in 2012.

 

"This aircraft has been earmarked to be the first in the fastjet Zambia fleet and following reconfiguration and painting is expected to be flown to Lusaka, Zambia in early November."

 

The Company stated an intention to create a mixed fleet of leased and purchased aircraft at the time of the fundraising in April 2015.  fastjet was advised by SkyWorks Leasing in the purchase of this aircraft.

New £7million Landmark contract with major global aerospace and defence contractor

Pennant International Group plc ("Pennant"), the Aim quoted supplier of integrated logistic support solutions, products and services, principally to the defence, rail, aerospace and naval sectors and to Government Departments, is delighted to announce that its wholly owned subsidiary, Pennant Training Systems Limited, has been awarded a contract worth in excess of £7 million by a major global aerospace and defence contractor which is a new customer for Pennant. 

The contract includes further options which, if exercised will increase the total value to in excess of £9m over the life of the contract.

The contract is for the development of Computer Based Training and electro-mechanical Maintenance Trainers.

Plant Health Care Signs Third and Fourth Innatus™ 3G Agreements

 

Company Expanding R&D Capabilities and Expertise

 

Plant Health Care (AIM: PHC), a leading provider of novel patent-protected biological products to global agriculture markets, today announced that it has signed its third and fourth agreements with major industry players in the agricultural space regarding the evaluation of its Innatus™ 3G peptide platform. This technology platform enables the design, production and screening of a large pipeline of peptides with diverse biological properties. The peptides can be used for both seed treatment and foliar applications.  They can also be combined with conventional crop protection chemicals, making them highly complementary to existing production practices.

 

To enhance and accelerate the Company's unique capabilities in the field of PREtec science (Plant Response Elicitor technology), the Company has moved its Seattle-based research facility to a significantly larger installation, expanding its footprint to over four times its previous size. Furthermore, Plant Health Care has made two notable additions to its staff. The company recently hired Dr. Mariola Kopcinski as Director, Scientific Alliances. In this role, Dr. Kopcinski will be responsible for identifying technology in and out licensing opportunities and managing relationships with potential licensors and licensees. Dr. Kopcinski brings to PHC an extensive background in various research, product management and marketing roles. Most recently, she was the Global Strategic Marketing Director at FMC. Previously, Dr. Kopcinski held management positions at Syngenta, Valent BioSciences, DuPont and Rohm and Haas. She holds an MBA from the University of Rochester and a Ph.D. in Agriculture from Akademia Rolnicza im. Augusta Cieszkowskiego w Poznaniu.

 

Plant Health Care has also hired Dr. Guofu Li as a senior scientist. Most recently, he was a research scientist at DuPont Pioneer, formally Pioneer Hi-Bred. Previously, Dr. Li was with Sangamo BioSciences. He holds an MS in Agronomy from the University of the Philippines and a Ph.D. in Biology from Texas A&M University.

EU Supply (LSE AIM: EUSP), the e-procurement software provider, is pleased to announce that it has been awarded a contract with Departementenes sikkerhets- og serviceorganisasjon, ("DSS"), the Norwegian Central Government Service Centre. The contract allows DSS the right to use the Company's CTMTM platform for any tendering and contract management. 

 

The contract is for 2 years, with up to 2 years' optional extensions. It is expected to lead to adoption for certain procurement procedures across all central government departments. Initial adoption is estimated at 40 users and subsequently additional users within the Norwegian central government may adopt and use the Company's CTMTM platform for further tendering and for accessing contracts by the time the new EU Directives are expected to become effective in Norway. Pricing of the contract is dependent on the number of users.

The contract gives this customer the right to use the Company's CTMTM platform for Tender and Contract management. 

 

The contract is worth around £300,000 over a 5 year period, including implementations, licenses and support. The implementations are expected to be completed before 31 December 2015. The contract also includes options for the customer to purchase value added modules and to extend the contract for additional years.

 

This agreement increases the Company's footprint in the utility industry and is further confirmation of the CTMTM platform's competiveness in this industry.
