Global Strategic Licensing and Distribution Agreement signed with English Heritage
The British Honey Company plc, the producer of premium British Honey-infused spirits and alcohol sanitiser products, is pleased to announce that it has signed a strategically important four-year Global Licensing and Distribution Agreement with English Heritage. English Heritage is a registered conservation charity which cares for over 400 historic monuments, buildings and places - from world famous prehistoric sites to grand medieval castles, from Roman forts on the edge of an empire to a Cold War bunker - through which, it brings the story of England to life for over 10 million visitors each year.
Under the terms of the Agreement, BHC will sell English Heritage branded and trademarked spirits, including gin, vodka, whisky and rum and low alcohol RTDs (Ready-to-Drink products) globally, utilising its established marketing and distribution online and direct sales channels, including into the United States which BHC sees as a key target market and where it has an existing collaboration with List Distillery of Florida, in which BHC has a 10% Shareholding and an agreement to purchase the remaining shareholding. This will facilitate direct access to List's extensive US distribution network.
BHC and English Heritage have an established trading relationship dating back to 2016 whereby English Heritage stocked BHC's Honey & Spirits. Subsequently, in 2020, BHC helped to develop and supply English Heritage with its "own label" St Clement's Gin and Elderflower & Rose Gin. BHC also supplies English Heritage with its own Keepr's honey and spirits range, sold through its onsite shops and online.
Commenting on the Licensing Agreement, BHC Commercial Director, Oliver Williams said:
"I am delighted to further develop our relationship with such a well-known and highly respected Partner. The English Heritage brand lends itself perfectly to our international marketing and distribution channels, further extending our global reach and we envisage significant opportunities to develop the brand over the next four years and beyond."
Kingston Myles, Head of Commercial Development at English Heritage added:
"This new license agreement will grow on an already well-established relationship with the
British Honey Company. We will see English Heritage reach global markets with a unique range
of premium products. We are excited to see this licensee join our portfolio and look forward to
seeing what the future holds."
Thomas List, CEO of List Distillery, Fort Myers USA added:
"We are excited to be part of the BHC's English Heritage branded craft spirits distribution channel in America. By combining high quality spirits with the history and culture of English HerItage, we can see great potential for these products in the US. I am convinced that this will be another successful example of BHC and List Distillery working closely together to create enhanced customer value."

About British Honey Company
Launched in 2014, BHC is famed for its award-winning fruit and honey infused spirits, marketed under the Keepr's brand. Many of the Keepr's spirits are infused with BHC's proprietary British Honey from its fully traceable apiaries. The impressive spirits range with seasonal lines spans eight gins, four vodkas, two rums, two bourbons and a whiskey which is scheduled for release later this year. All of BHC's spirits are distilled onsite in the company's specially customised Still.
BHC has won numerous industry awards for the quality of its spirits. Monday 20th july the Company was awarded five medals at The London Spirits Competition 2020, where Keepr's British Sloe and Honey, Keepr's Honey Spiced Rum and Dodds Gin received Silver Medals whilst Bronze awards went to Keepr's British Raspberry and Honey Gin and Keepr's Classic London Dry Gin with British Honey.
In March 2020 BHC diversified its product range by developing its first alcohol sanitiser product in the UK in response to the Covid-19 outbreak. This was produced using BHC's excess alcohol supplies and under authorisations obtained from HMRC to use denatured alcohol for alcohol sanitiser use.
